Thank a Catechist!

Words of Encouragement:
Thank a Catechist Day!
by Mark Shea

Galatians 6:6
Let him who is taught the Word share all good things with him who teaches.

Some of us learned the gospel from our parents, some of us from friends, some of us from a teacher, some of us from a priest. Wherever we learned it, we owe the people who taught us the greatest debt of thanks any person can owe another. Today, if you can, share something good with the person who taught you about Jesus. If you can't, honor them by sharing what they gave you with somebody else.

Philips/Chloride employs child killer

Subject: Human Resources Policies and Procedures concerning hiring or maintaining the employment of a convicted felon,
in the murder of 7 year-old Kayla Yvonne Allen

"Chloride is a Philips group brand"

In speaking with Chlorideus in NC, we were informed that Chlorideus staff had consulted with Philips and the decision to keep the now felony convicted Carolyn Futrell as an employee would be based on the decision of the courts.

On April 16, 2007, Carolyn Futrell was convicted in the Jacksonville NC Superior Court of Involuntary Manslaughter in the poisoning death of Kayla Yvonne Allen.
Carolyn Futrell has not gone to trial, yet, for the charge of Felony Child Abuse?

I want to know why Phillips or Chlorideus would allow anyone convicted of a felony, involving the murder of a child, to remain an employee.
If this is acceptable practice for your company, we want to know.

-- I am not asking you to comment on the conviction of the employee of Chlorideus in NC.

-- I want to know if your company policy approves of hiring convicted felons,
or of keeping employed individuals who have been convicted of a felony involving manslaughter.
The links are provided for every news article released since Futrell's arrest in 2004.

Our community is interested in corporations that support felony convicted child murderers. If there is another company serving as an umbrella to Chlorideus, please let us know.

Thank you,
